Water is an absolute essential when it comes to dropping body fat and improving health. It can be hard to keep on top of the 8-glasses-a-day rule so here are 9 ways I think are a great way to keep your water intake up – you’ll be drinking more than you were before!
How to drink more water:
Make your water more interesting and add sliced lemon, lime, oranges, cucumber of fresh mint.
Have a glass of water every time you do something transitional, e.g. sit down at your desk, get home from work, when you first wake up…
Keep a bottle in your bag and take it everywhere you go – fill it up along the way.
There’s an app for that…try downloading a cool app such as ‘Drink Water’ which reminds you to drink water at regular intervals throughout the day.
Water can become less appealing in the winter months, so why not warm it up and try a herbal tea.
If you must drink a rare orange or apple juice, just fill it half way and fill the rest with water
Grab a big bottle of water and use a marker pen to set yourself targets on the bottle, such as 10am, 11am and so on.
Drink two full glasses of water at each meal – one before and one after. You could drink one before you have a snack too. Sometimes when you think you’re hungry, you’re actually just dehydrated!
It doesn’t all have to be cold! Drinking hot water and lemon is an awesome option.
