The Sunderland Fitness Games is landing right on your doorstep – bringing big vibes, big energy and proper community spirit to Sunderland.

Whether you’re a seasoned gym-goer, a hybrid training lover, or someone who just fancies a challenge that isn’t centred around pounding pavements… this is for you.

And yes — let’s say it louder for the people at the back…

What Is The Sunderland Fitness Games?

A high-energy, inclusive fitness event designed to test your strength, grit, teamwork (if you’re entering as a double) and mindset — without isolating anyone who doesn’t love running.

Expect:

Strength challenges
Engine-based workouts (without running)
Team-focused elements (if you enter doubles)
Solo grit tests

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

This isn’t complicated.

And you won’t need a PhD in fitness terminology to understand it.

On the day, you’ll take on:

💥 A 9-Station Fitness Challenge

Nine stations.

Nine functional fitness tests.

One mission…

Complete all exercises as quickly as you can.

You’ll move through each station in order, working your way through a carefully designed series of challenges that test:

Strength
Muscular endurance
Power
Core control
Mental grit
Teamwork (if you’re in doubles)

The clock starts…

You take on all 9 stations…

The clock stops when you finish the final rep.

Simple. Clear. Properly challenging.

Who Can Take Part?

The Sunderland Fitness Games is open to:

Solo Male
Solo Female
Doubles Male
Doubles Female
Doubles Mixed

Minimum age: 15+

If you’re 15 or over and you train regularly in a gym environment, you’re ready for this.

You don’t need competition experience.

You don’t need to be elite.

You just need the willingness to challenge yourself.
