Taking Time For Yourself

Taking Time For Yourself

We are all so busy these days, dashing from one work to family duties, trying to squeeze in a workout where we can and juggle all that life has to throw at us. With increasing stress levels, it’s easy to forget about looking after ourselves, as any ‘me time’ falls straight to the bottom of the list.

It’s amazing what taking just a hour out for yourself can do and how it can make you feel, even if it’s just once a month. Whether you spend the hour taking a massage, doing a meditation class or simply going for a walk, having that bit of time to yourself is great for pressing the reset button and de-stressing.

I’ve been on the countdown to baby Cooke number 2’s due date, and I’ve been working like mad to get everything in order within my business before I take some time off. I’ve been doing anything but winding down…I’ve been winding up if anything, so when the lovely Wendy from the Aesthetic Beauty Centre, invited me in for a treatment at their new MediSpa, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to have some time to chill.

I had a lovely manicure with therapist Jess, which included a hand and arm massage (perfect for my swollen pregnant hands), had my nails attended to with products from the OPI range (one of my favourite brands) and finished off with a perfect polish.

I left feeling very relaxed, pampered, re-charged and ready to hit my work deadlines before baby arrives. So if you’re looking for a relaxing experience in the heart of the city centre, then I’d definitely recommend checking out their new treatment range.
